Dr. Tyler Clausen
Dr. Tyler Clausen is a general dentist who believes dentistry is about much more than treating teeth; it’s about earning the trust of patients and helping them maintain their oral health and confidence for a lifetime. Originally from Massachusetts, Dr. Clausen’s path to dentistry was somewhat unconventional. He attended Siena College, earning a bachelor of science in environmental science, before continuing his love of science at the University of Worcester, where he managed a computational biochemistry lab focused on cancer research. His interest in medicine eventually led him to pursue a pre-dental post-baccalaureate program at the Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University, while also studying medicine at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Clausen earned his doctor of dental medicine degree from the University of New England College of Dental Medicine. His clinical experience includes restorative and cosmetic dentistry, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry, as well as providing comprehensive care in a rural community health center. After dental school, he practiced in Maine before relocating to South Carolina to be closer to family. Prior to joining Bella Vista Family Dental, he served as a managing clinical director, helping lead clinical operations, mentor other clinicians, and improve the overall patient experience. He enjoys comprehensive restorative dentistry and has a particular interest in surgical and implant dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of General Dentistry, and the South Carolina Dental Association.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Clausen enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children. Together, they are excited to raise their family and build their life in the Upstate. He enjoys staying active, spending time outdoors, traveling, and exploring the Greenville area with his family. Dr. Clausen is grateful to call South Carolina home and looks forward to becoming an active member of the Greenville community.
